In this role the Junior Engineer will gain exposure to several important tools and technologies in a relatively short period of time. The individual will gain a good understanding of network programming in Go, Java, and Python. Additionally, he/she will gain good experience on how to take a small component in a larger project from design, coding, QA all the way to final delivery (i.e., production deployment and monitoring). The role will occasionally involve collaborating with engineers in other time zones, which may require attending meetings outside of regular working hours. Duties Working with the Platform, API and Data team on delivering features and fixes to existing Data Management and Delivery platforms for Cinarra. Understanding the current architecture, APIs, seeking and providing design input, coding, and testing for all the assigned work items. Preparing and running the Unit and Integration test cases for the services. Interfacing with QA team to ensure functional, performance and stability tests are executed on the feature and fixing bugs discovered in the process. Finally, document the work done before handoff. Qualifications Good knowledge of C/C++ / Go / Java and some exposure to Python. Good understanding of Algorithms and Data structures.. Familiarity with Multi-threaded programming. Good communication skills – The work will need very close communication with co-workers across different Timezones for learning the current Architecture and understanding of the system. The tasks need to be completed in a timely manner, so a strong focus on timely delivery is a must. Requirements Willing to work hard, and be flexible Programming skills in: Good programming skills using any of the programming languages like C++/Go/Java or other Object oriented programming language. Unit testing tools/frameworks. Multi-threaded programming including thread synchronization Data structures - list, tree, maps, arrays, sets. Algorithms - sorting, searching, runtime analysis of basic Algorithms for both space and time.
