Job description The Electrical Mechanic 1 is a safety sensitive position that requires following procedures for product assembly, fabrication, equipment operation & safety requirements.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Use a variety of tools & equipment to assemble product according to required specifications & procedures. This includes assembly of electrical components; wire build up & wire routing in monuments
• Responsible for the quality of the product
• Responsible for tool accountability & maintenance within the Electrical Shop area
• Responsible for keeping the work area clean and safe
The Electrical Mechanic 2 is a safety sensitive position that requires following procedures for product assembly, fabrication, equipment operation & safety requirements. Responsible for executing the higher complexity work within the wire shop. Guide & teach entry level employees as a peer mentor.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Demonstrate technical ability to read & interpret engineering drawings, technical orders, process specifications, & retrofit requirements to perform electrical modification/repair
• Perform job duties under minimal supervision
• Proficient with Syteline or equivalent ERP system
• Perform all duties of Electrical Mechanic 1 proficiently & consistently
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments, calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc., necessary to check dimensions & conformance to quality requirements
• Ability to complete associated paperwork & complete job orders
• Responsible for the proper performance of assignments & the prudent handling of product, tools and equipment
• Perform complex connector terminations including shielded wires, coaxial cables
• Tests continuity of circuit to ensure electrical compatibility & safety of components with testing instruments
• Measures, cuts, insert, & assembles electrical routing materials
• Ability to understand & interpret electrical schematics
• Works in a team environment participating in continuous improvement activities
• Utilizes small hand crimp tools, wires striper, wrenches, screwdriver & pliers
• Splices wires by stripping insulation from terminal leads & applying terminal caps
• Create, Print & Apply Wire Labels
• Route wire through panels & terminate as required
• Route wire through closet furniture & terminate second end
• Understand wire handling & routing instructions
• Interpret standard work instructions, charts, tables, blueprints, wire diagrams, formulas, sketches, verbal & electronic orders, job layouts, etc. to accomplish assigned work
• Perform tying & closure of wire harnesses & cables in accordance with standard processes
• Responsible for the quality of the product
• Responsible for tool accountability & maintenance within the Electrical Shop area
• Responsible for keeping the work area clean & safe
• Able to provide daily status updates
• Any other duties assigned by a Senior Electrical Mechanic

• Perform tying/closure of wire harnesses & cables in accordance w/processes
• Ability to distinguish between the color spectrum

Knowledge/Experience Level 1
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• The Electrical Mechanic 1 shall possess a High School diploma or GED
• Ability to read process specification & documents such as D6-54446
• Basic Knowledge & capabilities in Microsoft Excel & Word
Knowledge/Experience Level 2
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• The Electrical Mechanic 2 shall possess a High School diploma or GED
• Preferably 3-5 experience in an aerospace electrical manufacturing environment
• An FAA A&P certificate is desirable but not required
• Experience working with Boeing & Airbus wire specification
• Ability to read process specification & documents such as D6-54446
Knowledge/Experience level 3:
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• The Electrical Mechanic 3 shall possess a High School diploma or GED
• Preferably 7-year experience in an aerospace electrical manufacturing environment
• An FAA A&P certificate is desirable but not required
• Experience working with Boeing & Airbus wire specification.
• Ability to read process specification & documents such as D6-54446
