About the Role
The Company is in need of a Chief Risk Officer (CRO) to join their team. The CRO will be instrumental in the development and implementation of a comprehensive risk management strategy, with a focus on identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks that could affect business operations, project outcomes, and the company's reputation. This senior role requires a candidate with a strong background in risk management, particularly within the construction industry, and the ability to effectively manage the complex risk landscape. Key responsibilities for the CRO include conducting regular risk assessments, overseeing insurance programs, managing change order processes, providing guidance on contracts, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The successful candidate will also be responsible for training staff in risk management and will be expected to report regularly to the Board and senior management on the company's risk profile and activities. Applicants for the CRO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a Master's degree or professional certifications being advantageous. A minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior risk management role, preferably in the construction industry, is required. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in insurance management, risk mitigation, change order management, and a strong knowledge of industry regulations and safety protocols. Excellent analytical, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential, as is the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. The CRO will be expected to demonstrate a high degree of professionalism and integrity, and the ability to influence and drive a risk management culture across the organization.
