Base pay range

$175,000.00/yr - $200,000.00/yr

This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of accounting, financial planning, cash flow management, and banking relationships. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth expertise in construction finance, a firm grasp of job costing and work-in-progress (WIP) reporting, and the ability to provide strategic insights that support company growth.

• Direct all accounting operations, including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, and job cost accounting
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes
• Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with GAAP and tax regulations
• Oversee WIP schedules, revenue recognition, and project profitability analysis
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and insurance providers

Banking & Treasury

• Manage banking relationships, including cash management, lines of credit, and loan compliance
• Monitor cash flow and working capital needs; implement strategies to optimize liquidity
• Evaluate financing options and support capital planning initiatives

Strategic Leadership

• Serve as a financial advisor to the CEO and leadership team
• Provide financial modeling and scenario planning to support business decisions
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings
• Mentor and develop accounting staff

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred)
• 8+ years of progressive experience in accounting/finance, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
• Construction industry experience required; strong knowledge of job costing and project accounting
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Sage, Viewpoint, or similar)
• Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills
